Construction of the new Basseterre High School continues to advance, with visible progress across several key areas of the development.
The project is steadily moving through important structural stages, particularly across the academic buildings, while work continues to progress across other parts of the wider school campus.

Academic Buildings Continue to Rise
Significant work has been carried out across the school’s main academic buildings.
At Building B, foundation and ground-floor works have progressed into the installation of major structural elements, including precast columns, beams and hollowcore slabs.
This stage of construction is making the building increasingly visible above ground and giving a much clearer sense of the scale the completed academic facilities will have.
Building A is also advancing through its foundation and structural preparation stages. Work has included excavation, ground preparation, footings, structural fill and supporting foundation works as the building moves towards its next phase of construction.
Together, the progress across both academic buildings marks an important step in transforming the Basseterre High School development from plans into a recognisable campus.
Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew has also welcomed the progress being made, saying, “I am very pleased to see what has been happening here at the Basseterre High School site. We are trying to move as expeditiously as possible to ensure that the school is ready for our students.”
Progress Extends Beyond the Classrooms
The new Basseterre High School is being developed as a comprehensive educational campus rather than simply a collection of classrooms.
The wider development includes an auditorium, gymnasium, atrium, sporting facilities, parking areas and supporting infrastructure.
Work on the auditorium has continued through foundation preparation and structural groundwork, while additional areas of the site are being prepared for the next stages of development.
Further works across the campus will support the development of recreational, sporting and communal spaces that will form an important part of the overall school environment.
A Project With Long-Term National Impact
The CR-Basseterre High School Public Benefit Option (PBO) is a partnership between ClientReferrals and the Citizenship by Investment Unit. Contributions raised through the PBO are used for the reconstruction of the Basseterre High School (BHS). Investment into BHS represents more than just another construction project.
